Mrs. Alicia Carroway, Captain Shreve’s varsity and junior varsity cheer coach, will be leaving after the school year ends. Carroway’s time as a cheer coach was very respected and appreciated by her cheerleaders.

“I do not know that I would consider myself a great cheer coach, but I certainly try my best! It takes a lot of patience and compassion to be a cheer coach,” says Carroway.

Although she doesn’t label herself as the “best” or claim her greatness, she still shaped our cheerleaders into a wonderful team, leaving a legacy of hard work and good citizenship.

“This year there are twelve of them leaving us because they are graduating! But I will definitely miss all of them – seniors, juniors, and sophomores, once the year is over,” says Carroway.

As we bid farewell to a coach who has shaped the lives of many, including the twelve graduating seniors, we celebrate the legacy of a leader who has left an indelible mark on the hearts of every cheerleader she has worked with.
