The coaches of Southside Swim Club

Located at 2815 Mackey Lane in Shreveport, Southside Swim Club is more than just a place to swim. It’s a place where students and families build confidence, strength, and life saving skills. Southside serves students who want to improve their swimming abilities or learn how to swim for the first time.

“The environment at Southside is welcoming and open to all students who want to learn and push themselves further,” state co-owner Jason Hardin.

The club welcomes swimmers of all ages and skill levels by offering programs specifically for different age groups and skill levels. From young beginners to experienced high school competitors, there is a place for everyone in the pool.

Southside Swim Club also supports middle school and high school students through its swim season training program.

According to club director Tara Hardin, “Swimming is a valuable sport and life skill that kids and teens should know, to ensure water safety.”

The programs help students practice and improve their speed and techniques in preparation for competition. Swimmers are grouped based on their skill level, allowing them to train at a pace that fits their abilities.

The club also plays an important role in the community by helping students stay active and safe. Many teenagers spend time around pools, lakes, and other bodies of water, and without proper swimming knowledge, these situations can become dangerous. By learning how to swim, students not only protect themselves but also gain the ability to help others in emergency situations.

Overall, Southside Swim Club provides valuable opportunities for students to grow, stay active, and learn life saving skills. Whether someone is just starting out or preparing for competitions, the club offers programs that meet their needs while promoting safety and confidence in the water.
