The Annex Angels who use wheelchairs rolled out onto the field to pick up the eggs which had balloons attached to them for better accessibility. Other Angels went out soon and picked up eggs that laid on the ground.

On Thursday March 28, 2024, the GLUE Easter egg hunt was held. The event took place after the GLUE basketball game.

The Annex Angels, GLUE members, parents, and sponsors gathered around the practice football field where eggs littered the ground.

For students in wheelchairs, strings were tied to the eggs to make them easier to pick up, the increased accessibility allowed all participants to have a great time.

The eggs were filled with candy and small toys by the Z-Club ladies and hidden in a secret spot was a golden egg. The Annex Angels hunted for this egg.

The egg was discovered by one of the Annex Angels, Prince Wilson.

Parents were excited to be there. “I’m glad we are able to have events like this as it helps the kids feel included,” one parent stated.

After the egg hunt, parents and sponsors provided hot dogs, cupcakes, and drinks to all participants and club members.

This was a refreshing way to cool down after competing in the basketball game and hunting for eggs. The participants were able to keep all of the items they received and could sit outside and enjoy their day.

Overall, the event turned out great and everyone left with smiles on their faces.
