On April 4, 2024, the student body voted for their new Executive Board officers.
The new executive board officers include:
President: Emma Grace McInnis
Vice President: Maddison Reynolds
Recording Secretary: Madison Skinner
Corresponding Secretary: Emily Rimmer
Treasurer: Elizabeth Watts
Parliamentarian: Reese Wren
Historians: Laney Morgan and Tucker Stratton
Juniors who were not elected to an officer position but still meet the requirements to be on the Executive Board are called Senators-at-Large. These leaders are Faith Anderson, Andrew Bane, Aubrey Bowlin, Evelyn Fraser, Shelby Owens, Meagan Hill, Zippy Peoples, Alexandra Knight, Caroline Smith, Teresa Franks, and Brett Pernell.
On April 17, the new members were invited to a dinner at Walk-Ons. This dinner served to pass the torch from the old exec board to the new.
“I think it will be a great year. A lot of us are already really close. I feel like that will make planning and executing much easier. Everyone will bring great ideas to the table,” Emma Grace McInnis said.
The new exec board has already begun transitioning into their roles. They have started doing announcements, helping staff, and leading meetings.
This summer they will meet to discuss 2024-25 plans.
“I’m so excited to work with everyone next year. We have a fun group. I believe that we can bring spirit to the Swamp!” Zippy Peoples said.
